Chez Bobeau

The Chalet

Chez Bobeau is a chalet built in traditional Savoyard style. It is warm, large and comfortable, with an open log fire, wooden beams and a lovely, south-facing sun-terrace. All the rooms have views of the beautiful Giffre valley and surrounding mountains.

 We offer bed and breakfast; our breakfasts are delicious, cooked, substantial and healthy - a feast of English and French food.

Winter

Chez Bobeau is situated between the village of Samoëns and its ski-area: le Grand Massif comprises Samoëns, Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon and Sixt, with more than 75 lifts and over 270km of pistes. The area is characterised by the extreme diversity of its skiing, from gentle blues and cruising reds, to difficult blacks and challenging off-piste terrain. There are snowboarding parks, an excellent ski-school and numerous, reasonably priced mountain restaurants. 

Access to the slopes starts just 150 m from the chalet. Samoëns itself, the only French ski resort classified as a "Bourg Historique", is very pretty and welcoming, with plenty of bars, shops, restaurants and entertainment: ice-skating, cross-country skiing, dog-sleighing, snow-shoe walks, guided nature trails, torchlit descents . . .

Summer

In the summer, Samoëns becomes a lively, Alpine activity centre.

Chez Bobeau is not open in the summer, but we can suggest other places to stay in Samoens.
